🐦 Sanderlings in Motion

With their pale, silvery plumage glowing in the warm evening light, the sanderlings seem almost weightless as they scurry across the wet sand. They move in tight, fast little groups, chasing the receding foam and racing the waves in what looks like a playful, synchronized dance.

Every time a wave draws back, they rush forward, stabbing rapidly at the sand with their short black bills. When the water returns, they dash back in unison, legs whirring like clockwork—quick, deliberate, and comically precise.
